We touched a lot on the divorce subject in today’s society. I think every woman has something to say about the divorce rate in our country, after all, most of us want to find someone great to settle down with. It is almost scary to think of that when you see people in the church with already one foot out the door. We had great conversations in between the interview and I will share some fun stuff with you later.
Nicole S. Rouse has written a wonderful book based around this phenomenon, but hers has a terrific twist. You’ll just have to buy the book to find out what it is.
B: Nicole, do you share any common bonds with the characters in your book HAPPILY EVER NOW?

N: Well, that’s a very interesting question.
And she pauses for a few seconds and then continues.
N: The main character. She is married, career driven, single and struggles to juggle all of them together.
She continues with an aside: “You know, some women want to marry the first man who shows them an interest. In the course of doing so, they lower their standards and fall into very bad situations.”
B: I agree with you there, especially when they’ve not been with someone or had a date for a while. It is the most vulnerable time in a woman’s life. If she is not careful, it becomes like going from frying pan into fire.
N: Yes, she makes her life more complicated with this person who is not worthy of her and then finds herself in a worse place than when she began, single, alone and even more bitter.

I believe most of us is through experience. That’s when we go, “oh, I should’ve listened to mama”. But how many us do that in reality?
B: That was funny, Nicole, we could go on and on, can’t we?
N: We sure can.
B: Back to this captivating story in HAPPILY EVER NOW, who is your favorite character?
N: I would have to say Renee, she’s the married one, she learns to juggle career and family life.
B: What makes her so special to you?
N: In spite of all she has to do, she still continues to pursue her dreams.
B: Sounds like a phenomenal woman to me. What would you like for readers to get out of your novel HAPPILY EVER NOW?
N: That the true path to happiness is through faith, that’s what I want... Read On>
