Up Close and Personal with Author, Nicole S. Rouse
By: Bernice Angoh
Before I talked to her, I sort of knew how she’d sound; sweet, soft spoken and sincere. Nicole S. Rouse (pronounced like ‘House’, just replace the ‘H’ with ‘R’) was that person. Beautiful young lady with a pretty last name, it almost sounds foreign. I thought it sounded French. Well, I am honored to bring you an up close and personal interview with Nicole.
Bernice: Hi Nicole.
Nicole: Hello Bernice, I am honored to be here.
B: Me too Nicole, funny I kind of thought you would sound this way, you know, sweet and soft spoken…

N: Well, when I was younger, I always wrote something. It could be from writing in my diary to simply writing words to a song. I just wrote. Then when I became a teacher, something about teaching the kids how to communicate and express themselves made me miss what I used to do, which was writing. Teaching those kids reignited my passion for writing.
B: How did the idea of your debut novel, HAPPILY EVER NOW, come about?
N: From listening to friends, co-workers and colleagues. I watched on TV, heard stories about people getting married and divorcing very quickly. No one wanted to stay and work things out. The idea started to build from all of that... Read On>
